Job Description:

Sentia is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Representative – IT Services reporting to the Vice President, Sales & MarketingThe successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business relationships through a combination of sales & marketing tactics, campaigns & outbound proactive initiatives.

The Business Development Representative will collaborate with Sentia marketing & sales management to develop & execute a structured business development strategy. In this role, the VP, Sales & Marketing will provide on-boarding and coaching to ensure you are set up for success in creating new business opportunities.

Focus will be on identifying opportunities to introduce Sentia and our exceptional talent and offerings, capabilities & IT expertise to the Ontario marketplace.  New pipeline and new customer acquisition will be the primary objective of this role working in partnership with Sentia’s marketing and sales management teams.

We are looking for someone who has familiarity and fondness of technology combined with a curious, positive, pro-active, and inquisitive nature.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Sentia’s investment in marketing platforms to execute targeted business development to help drive services sales engagement and growth through new customer acquisition
  • Build and execute a services business development plan that will identify and target specific industries and customer markets with Sentia’s IT offerings and expertise
  • Qualify prospect needs with Sentia’s capabilities to then present proposals and convert into new customer wins
  • Understand prospects IT & business priorities/requirements to then present IT solutions that will solve customer problems
  • Partner with leading vendors to execute business development initiatives
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Sentia and create a strong first impression with prospects
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify and qualify new account opportunities and become knowledgeable on the various products to develop strategies to successfully promote Sentia
  • Effectively manage sales cycle from contact to close

Qualifications and Experience:

  • College or University Degree preferably in Business, or Information Technology, or Computer Science
