Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Microsoft Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our sales team to help us achieve our Microsoft growth objectives. As a Microsoft BDM you will be a key contributor to our Microsoft practice and will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing our Microsoft business development, marketing, and sales strategy.

The Microsoft BDM is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by effectively promoting and selling Microsoft solutions to both Sentia’s client base as well as Whitespace.  The successful candidate has a deep understanding of Microsoft's product portfolio and the ability to articulate the value and benefits of these solutions to both prospects and customers. The BDM will work closely with Sentia’s sales leadership team, sales team, technical experts, and marketing to identify business needs and propose appropriate Microsoft solutions to address those needs.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Sales Planning and Strategy:
    1. Develop a comprehensive sales strategy in collaboration with sales leadership and management.
    2. Identify target customers and industries to be targeted.
    3. Understand market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to develop effective sales strategies.
       
  • Customer & New Prospect Engagement:
    1. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at customer organizations.
    2. Execute proactive prospecting to generate new conversations and proposals
    3. Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of Sentia in the context of Microsoft solutions.
       
  • Solution Selling:
    1. Work closely with technical experts to design and propose customized solutions that meet customer & prospect requirements.
    2. Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing proposals and negotiate contracts.
    3. Support sales team in pursuit of growing MS pipeline and closed business.
       
  • Pipeline & New Customer Growth:
    1. Plan and execute marketing tactics delivering incremental sales pipeline.
    2. Drive new customer/prospect engagement leading to qualified pipeline and closed business.
    3. Leverage existing CRM tools to enter and track leads.
    4. Stay updated on sales performance metrics and work towards achieving sales targets.
       
  • Product Knowledge and Expertise:
    1. Stay informed about Microsoft's product portfolio, including software, cloud services, and other solutions.
    2. Continuously update knowledge and skills through training programs and self-study.
    3. Achieve MS certifications and competencies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience in selling MS products and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft's product offerings and their business value.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability and keen interest to generate new conversations and customer engagement.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong presentation skills and knowledge of MS office suite.
  • Goal-oriented with a demonstrated track record of success and meeting targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales pipeline management tools.
  • Knowledge of and fondness of the technology industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
