Job Description:

As our Senior Lead - Microsoft & VMware, you will challenge customers to build agile infrastructure solutions through the adoption of advanced virtualization technologies as part of their overall Hybrid IT transformation and Digitalization of their End-User Workspace Platforms.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Architecture and design of end-to-end virtualize and hybrid cloud solutions that focuses on data center modernization
  • Translate and convert end-user and business needs into IT functional requirements and strategic objectives
  • Solve complex IT problems: automation, migration, cloud optimization, and virtualization
  • Lead technology implementations
  • Provide Level 2-3 support for clients and be a point of escalation for Sentia Support Services Operations
  • Troubleshoot IT related issues, perform root cause analyses and report writing
  • Specify the deliverables of consulting and implementation projects including Level of effort estimation and scoping
  • Perform datacenter and/or core systems analysis – document findings, identify gaps, provide recommendations, and prepare transformational roadmaps
  • Solution design documentation: Pre and post implementation
  • Knowledge transfer: colleagues, support staff and customers – includes how-to-documents/presentations and recorded sessions
  • Contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies and support pre- and post-ales initiatives 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10+ Years of experience in the IT industry working in multiple sectors
  • Ability to architect and implement virtualized infrastructures and administrating environments based on VMware vSphere especially in clustered environments . Other virtualization platforms would be considered an asset
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the Microsoft enterprise systems: Exchange Server 2016 and above, O365 suite, Windows server 2012 – 2019, Active Directory - with the ability to support both on premise and Azure/cloud-based deployments and migrations
  • Strong and in-depth understanding of data center technologies - Ability to convert archaic and traditional builds into digitalized, virtualized and cloud (or hybrid) solutions
  • Skills in design, implementations, upgrades, troubleshooting and ongoing administration of physical, virtual environments, and cloud-based environments
  • An understanding of major infrastructure technology solutions providers products (hardware, operating systems, virtualization tools/software etc.) how they integrate and play together to advise, design/architect and implement solutions that will fit the business needs
  • Understands the importance of backup and recovery/business continuity and how to incorporate it into IT designs – must be knowledgeable on major backup and recovery solutions such as IBM, Veeam, VMware SRM, QNAP etc.
  • Knowledgeable on how to leverage cloud as a business continuity solution

IT Solution Selling Experience:

  • Server Sales – HPE, Dell, Lenovo, or IBM
  • Storage Sales – IBM, Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE or
  • Network Sales – Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet etc…
  • Hyper Converged Systems Sales – Simplivity, Nutanix, Data Core, Atlantis etc…
  • Client Device Sales – Lenovo, HPI, Dell
  • Security Software Sales
